Boring machines(58)

The Boring machine is a machine tool that is specialised in internal surfaces machining, such as drilling holes in complex workpieces. In addition to drilling holes, the boring machine is also used for facing, threading, tapping, levelling and internal turning. The boring machine always moves on three axes (X,Y,Z), if necessary additional axes can be found resulting from the presence of additional devices such as a swivel head or a rotary table. An important feature of these machines is the type of spindle that is mounted on the head. What makes the difference is the size of the spindle diameter, which ranges from 55 mm for smaller boring machines up to 300 mm in diameter for larger boring machines. In addition to the spindle, boring machines on the market are differentiated by the upright structure, which can essentially be of three types: fixed, mobile or T-shaped. Modern boring machines are very complex machines always equipped with CNC.
