Lathes - Vertical turning centers - Inverted Spindle CNC lathes(27)

Inverted spindle cnc lathe also called vertical turning centers are special numerical control lathes ideal for the production of large batches. nverted Spindle CNC lathes are particularly appreciated in the automotive industry, especially in the production of flanges. This particular type of lathe is characterized by the translation of 90 degrees of the working area of the traditional horizontal lathe. We therefore have the self-centering spindle housed at the top of the tool-holder turret located at the bottom. Often the configuration of these lathes includes two important devices to increase automation, the pick-up spindle and the storage and/or motorized belt for workpieces. The pick-up spindle allows the workpiece to be automatically picked up from the warehouse and unloaded again in the warehouse once the planned processing has been completed. In the most complex configurations and in cases of production of very large batches we can often find this type of lathes working in pairs. The configuration of the machining operations in combination with a lathe with identical characteristics is carried out by means of a special combination thanks to a device for tilting the workpiece between the two lathes, which allows two different types of machining operations to be carried out on the same workpiece continuously without the intervention of the operator.
