Filling machines - Tube filling machines(26)

Tube-filling machines are used in various sectors of activity: agri-food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic and industrial. The tube filling machine is a machine for filling and closing plastic or aluminium tubes (some machines can handle both types of tubes). When the tube filling machine is automatic, the tubes, already equipped with their screw cap, are loaded into an automatic feeding device. The tubes are then taken one at a time and placed in the transport starwheel where, once the presence and orientation of the tube have been verified, they are filled with the product (thanks to a feeding hopper). The tubes are then closed and coded by means of a tube embossing station. After closing and embossing operations the tubes exit on a motorised outfeed belt to be automatically or manually packaged in the cartons together with the leaflet. The product that is packaged in the tubes is a viscous, cream-like product. In the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry, it can be pain-relieving creams or toothpastes. In the cosmetic industry it can be hair dyes for example, in the food industry the product packaged into tubes can be mayonnaise while an example in the industrial sector could be the glue or silicone.
